Tackle Box is a Nova Scotia seasonally curated box that brings locally made, everyday goods straight to you. No touristy souvenirs, no clutter, just the products locals actually use and love.

We make it easy to discover makers in our own backyard.

Each box features practical products from small Nova Scotian businesses, created by neighbours, friends, and people doing something special across the province.

Think new pantry favourites, home essentials, and thoughtful little things that feel right at home in your routine.

We curate connection, not consumption, helping you find your new favourite local products while supporting the people behind them. Tackle Box is not just about what ends up in the box. It is about feeling closer to your community, one local maker at a time.

Who’s Steering This Boat?

Hi, I’m Britt! I’m a born and bred Maritimer who’s grateful to call Nova Scotia home. Community has always mattered to me. I never really understood how much until those dreaded years when it stopped being something we experienced every day.

I moved to a small rural town with my dog, Augie, to chase a dream many people told me was “a bit much” for one person. I wanted to restore a century home and build a life that felt rooted. What I did not expect was how lonely it can feel when you show up somewhere new without familiar faces, family, shared routines, or the easy connections that once came naturally.

Like many of us, I have leaned heavily on community and the sense of being part of something without effort. When I lost that, I felt like I lost of piece of myself.

One afternoon, amidst the drywall dust and paint fumes, I found myself wondering why it felt so hard to feel connected to the people right around the corner.

That quick thought turned into an important question. How could we bring easy connection back into our everyday lives?

Sometimes, connection starts with something simple: making local products part of our daily lives. Choosing local to feel rooted again.
